Smartbuys began in 1995 as a method to provide e-commerce to the furniture industry. eSystems is the product of this effort, designed to provide end-to-end support for the furniture store. eSystems maintains sales, billing, inventory, as well as, employee time and attendance data.  

In 2002 school systems began to look for a cost effective way to manage time and attendance information. TAMIS was spun off as a separate product offering to address this critical need  for school systems.
